the long awaited trip has finally come and gone.
day 1
we had to get up at 5:30 am because our flight was at 9:10 am. yes, it’s a pain but we have a full day of travelling. my parents brought us to the airport and after the standard check-in processes, into the departure hall we went. our flight was at gate H2 whereby we didn’t need to take the aerotrain. but, for LF’s sake, we took a spin on the aerotrain. went to the nursing room to nurse LF and get his diaper changed before boarding our flight. LF slept during take-off and when we tried to place him in the bassinet, he got up. argh! so, we had to keep him entertained until we landed. MAS served nasi lemak during the flight and it was delicious!
at the immigration at suvarnabhumi airport, bangkok, there were long queues everywhere. but, when they saw us with LF, they asked us to go to the line for thai citizens (because there were no one). i knew there was a benefit for bringing LF on the holiday.
after we collected our luggages, we had to wait for another 2 hours for gary’s business partner from china. so, we had our not-so-nice lunch and played with LF until gary’s boss came to pick us up.
once in the nicely decorated van, LF slept. and since the van was so comfortable, we all slept after a while. it was a 2 hours drive to rayong. and upon arrival at the ban phe pier, gary’s boss went to get us a speed boat. and i immediately put the life jacket on LF. it was a 20 minute boat ride to koh samed. after we checked in at the samed sand sea hotel, we went for a drink and i took LF on a walk along the beach. we rested until dinner then. dinner was seafood as that was the only choice at koh samed.
day 2
we’ve the whole day to spend on the island today. we walked about “town” (which is actually only a street) a little and played on the beach with LF. gary’s boss bought LF some tools to play. so, he was very happy.

day 3
bye bye to koh samed! see you in another 4 years! and please do not be too commercialized by then because we love the natural beauty of the island.
we took the speed boat from koh samed back to the pier at rayong. and from rayong, a mini van (not so nice one this time around) to pattaya. thank goodness LF slept all the way again.
once we arrived at pattaya and checked in, we took our shower and headed out to hopf (our favourite dining place) for their specially brewed wheat beer. gary’s boss ordered 3 litres for the 3 of them. LF and i stuck to non-alcoholic drinks.

day 4
gary, his boss and business partner went for a meeting at their customer’s office today. so, i spent most of the day taking care of LF and then, going for lunch and shopping with him. i’ve no qualms about bringing LF out at pattya because i’ve been here so many times that i know where i want to go and how to go to a certain place.
for dinner, we went to a seafood restaurant at the walking street.
day 5
today is family day i.e. gary’s boss and busines partner have left for their flights. we went shopping but besides diapers, milk and etc., went back to the hotel empty handed. plus, because LF was already tired, we had to walk under the rain to the closest tuk-tuk. he slept all the way in the tuk-tuk back to the hotel.
dinner was once again at hopf….
day 6
last day at thailand. went for last minute shopping but also came back empty handed. put LF to sleep and packed our stuff. headed to the airport and rushed our driver only to find out that the flight was delayed for half an hour. never mind… there were sales at the airport. got some stuff there. yay!
okay… and now, 17 days to CNY and we haven’t gotten anything done!
